Integral developed a non-dimmable gu10 led spot light to replace a 50 watt halogen equivalent bulb. The previous products were announced the Which best buy in 2014. More recently the technology has developed further to create the Classic Glow range which has been announced as a finalist for the prestigious Lighting Design Awards 2015. After detailed consideration by a panel of lighting experts, the Classic Glow has been nominated in the "Light Sources" category. They are a direct replacement for traditional 50 watt GU10 halogen light bulbs in terms of size and light output. This updated version replicates the traditional halogen bulb and now operates at only 5W which is almost 90% less than the halogen equivalent.

The winning bulbs are also similar to a standard halogen bulb emitting a warm white light at 2700K. It offers a smooth distribution of light with a 36 degree beam angle which is characteristic of a spotlight.

Integral the manufacturer offers a 3 year guarantee and a lifespan of up to 25,000 hours which is significatly higher than the standard 2000 hours of a typical halogen spotlight.

This product features 4 high power SMD LEDs which produce a combined light output of 380 lumens. The bulb also features die-cast aluminium heat sink which increases the operating life and anti-glare relector that assists with diffusion and is more asthetically pleasing as the LED chips are covered. This product is suitable for both, home and commercial and is suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, offices and bars etc.

Thanks to its construction, it is ideal for illuminating heat sensitive objects.

In the above example, assuming the halogen bulbs cost on average £2 each you could see a return on your investment in less than 6 months at which point you could be saving approximatlely £32 a year on just one light fitting for as long as the LEDs last.
